1) Parent Support Specialist (Coach/ Mentor) (Part-Time)
Child & Adolescent Services/SASS
Education and Experience:
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology or a related discipline or the equivalent education and experience to be classified as a RSA or MHP under Rule 132
• Must work a flexible schedule in response to the needs of the target population served including evening and weekend hours
• Must travel to clients’ homes
• Previous experience with parent education and/or home visits preferred
Responsibilities:
• Participate in a team that is engaged in outpatient treatment/intervention
• Provide in-home and community-based support and coaching to parents of severely emotionally disturbed children and adolescents consistent with the individual service plan. These services may be on a planned, regular basis or on an emergent, as needed basis. These services will include but are not limited to:
• Support of the guardian as they parent their emotionally disturbed child
• Gathering information from parent(s) and team members and reporting back to same
• Documenting service provision for the chart
• Assisting the parents in navigating multiple systems and accessing state and community resources
• Coaching and training of parents to address specific needs of the child
• Working in conjunction with other clinical staff to address meeting service needs of client
Performance Expectations:
• Work cooperatively with Child and Adolescent Services team members to assure clients timely access to quality services
• Meet agency quality and compliance standard by accurately completing clinical documentation and service reporting in a timely manner
• Meet or exceed service productivity target
• Participate in program evaluation and development of service options that best address client needs
• Participation in Staff training and development seminars
• Working cooperatively with other Center teams and programs to maintain smooth continuity of care when cases are shared across teams
2) Behavioral Support Specialist (Part-Time)
Child & Adolescent Services
*Currently, the majority of our waiting list for services comprises of young, adolescent male children that their parents have requested a male Behavioral Support Specialist/Mentor. We are accepting all applications that meet the requirements.
Clinical Responsibilities:
Provide in-home and community-based respite to severely emotionally disturbed children and adolescents consistent with the individual service plan. These services may be on a planned, regular basis or on an emergent, as needed basis. These services will include but are not limited to:
• Supervision of and engaging in recreational activities with the youth
• Gathering information from parent(s) and team members and reporting back to same
• Documenting service provision for the chart
• Setting limits and providing structure for the youth
• Providing relief to parent(s)
• Working in conjunction with other clinical staff to address meeting service needs of client
Administrative Duties:
• Receive input from the Coordinator and/or designee and provide feedback regarding administrative issues
• Submit, in a timely and accurate fashion, reports and data as required by the Centers’ policies and procedures
• Participate in orientations and training programs of the Center as directed
Education and Experience:
• Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology or a related discipline or the equivalent education and experience to be classified as a RSA or MHP under Rule 132
• Previous experience working with children and/or adolescents
• Minimum age 21 years
• Ability to work evenings and Saturdays
• Willingness to drive to clients’ homes and provide services in the community
• Excellent driving record
*Part- time, Non-Exempt position, 15-25 hours a week.
3) Resource Development Associate (Part-Time)
Requirements:
• Degree in Business or mental health related field
• Three years business experience, volunteer management a plus
• Strong organizational skills
• Non profit experience
• Past supervisory experience preferred
• Knowledge of Donor Perfect or similar database software
Responsibilities:
Volunteer Services: Develop and manage Volunteer Services Program:
• Recruit, orient and retain volunteers
• Coordinate recognition event and other recognition activities
• Coordinate training and statistical records of volunteers, through staff supervisors of volunteer programs
Maintenance of database:
• Data entry and produce reports
• Produce thank you letters and other correspondence for RD team
• Organize mailings for fundraising and special events
Competencies:
• Organize people and data
• Promote positive image of KYC
• Interact with the public in getting or giving information
• Recruit individuals
• Present requests
• General knowledge of KYC services
• Volunteer Administration
• Strong customer service and conflict resolution skills

4) Coordinator of Communications (Part-Time)
Requirements:
• Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or Business
• Minimum of three years experience in Marketing
• Non profit experience a plus
Responsibilities:
Communications Management:
• Develop and manage the external and internal communications function of the
organization.
• Assist in the research, development, implementation and evaluation of KYC marketing promotions.
• Supervise and participate in the development of all print and multi-media materials including the KYC web site and social media networking
• Produce newsletters and annual reports to develop awareness, interest and support
for KYC.
• Interact with KYC departments in integrating marketing and publicity efforts.
Public Relations:
• Present a positive image of KYC services with clients, referral sources and any
contacts with the community at large.
• Supervise flow of information to media and newspapers
• Assist with internal public relations
Fundraising:
• Conduct year end, fiscal year end, and targeted asking campaigns
• Work with other Resource Development team members to nurture constituents to higher levels of support through one-to-one and event activities
Competencies:

• General knowledge of KYC services
• Knowledge of web site management and social media networking
• Writing/producing print materials and publications

Internship Opportunities:
Psychology Program Internships: (Several openings)
Kenneth Young Center offers a structured internship program for Masters level students in a psychology program from September to May on an annual basis. We are no longer accepting applications for the psychology internship positions for 2010-2011.
We will be accepting applications for 2011-12 from January 1, 2011 through February 28, 2011.
Human Resources Intern: (1 opening - to begin January 2011)
Responsibilities:
• Understanding of Human Resources departmental procedures.
• Prioritize Human Resources responsibilities.
• Demonstrate ability to meet deadlines.
• Maintain confidentiality of Human Resources information.
• Cultivate relationships with staff members and vendors.
Performance Requirements:
• Assist in policy and practice revisions.
• Maintain personnel and Human Resources files.
• Process Human Resources paperwork.
• Assist in enrollment, maintenance and bill payment of staff benefits.
• Maintain orientation materials and provide Human Resources orientations.
• Process background checks.
• Assist in new hire and termination processes.
• Report new hires to the IDES.
• Assist with FMLA requests, W/C claims, and payroll.
• Communicate Human Resources information to employees.
• Respond to applicants.
Position Requirements:
• High school diploma required.
• Working toward completion of bachelors or masters degree with HR emphasis.
• Min 1 year of previous of general work experience.
• Must possess business process and human resources knowledge.
