Adopt A Fam­i­ly 2023: Our Warmest Sea­son Yet!

Each year, KYC hosts an Adopt A Fam­i­ly dri­ve to con­nect hun­dreds of the peo­ple we serve with extra hol­i­day cheer.

Many of our nom­i­nees are com­mu­ni­ty mem­bers who are fac­ing a tru­ly chal­leng­ing time dur­ing the hol­i­day sea­son. When par­ents are scram­bling to afford a small gift for their chil­dren; when iso­lat­ed old­er adults are long­ing to build con­nec­tion to our com­mu­ni­ty; when clients are strug­gling to obtain the basic care items they need to focus on their well-being; these are the moments that your kind­ness and gifts replace with relief, grat­i­tude, and a sense of belonging.

Thanks to our incred­i­ble sup­port­ers, we were able to pro­vide 800 gifts to local indi­vid­u­als and fam­i­lies, mak­ing this again, our largest Adopt A Fam­i­ly sea­son yet! We are so grate­ful for all of the donors, vol­un­teers, staff mem­bers, and orga­ni­za­tions who helped make the hol­i­days so much brighter for the peo­ple we serve.

Among 6 of our offices, 96 KYC staff mem­bers pro­vid­ed nom­i­na­tions for our annu­al Adopt A Fam­i­ly event!

With more nom­i­na­tions to this pro­gram made than ever before, 800 com­mu­ni­ty mem­bers received gifts from part­ners like you! 

This includes gifts for the following:

• 397 Youth (ages 17 and under)
  
• 101 Young Adults (ages 18 – 24)
  
• 243 adults (ages 25 – 59)
  
• 59 old­er adults (ages 60+)

(Some ages are unknown)

63 fam­i­lies and 601 indi­vid­u­als com­mu­ni­ty mem­bers were sup­port­ed by your gen­eros­i­ty! Your gifts allowed for even more fam­i­ly mem­bers in need to be supported.
