KYC’s Pres­i­dent & CEO Named to Nation­al Coun­cil for Men­tal Well­be­ing Board

The Nation­al Coun­cil for Men­tal Well­be­ing has announced the results of their Board elec­tions, and KYC is thrilled to share that our Pres­i­dent & CEO, Grace Hong Duf­fin, has joined their Board to rep­re­sent the mid­west­ern region of the Unit­ed States.

About the Nation­al Coun­cil of Men­tal Wellbeing

The Nation­al Coun­cil of Men­tal Well­be­ing is a 501(c )3 asso­ci­a­tion of over 3,100 orga­ni­za­tions across the U.S. that pro­vide men­tal health and sub­stance use ser­vices. For over 53 years, the Nation­al Coun­cil of Men­tal Well­be­ing has worked to ensure equi­table access to high qual­i­ty ser­vices for mil­lions of Amer­i­cans of all ages. They advo­cate for leg­is­la­tion that strength­ens sub­stance use and men­tal health care sys­tems, and work to increase the under­stand­ing of men­tal well­be­ing as a core com­po­nent of com­pre­hen­sive health.

Con­grat­u­la­tions, Grace!

Grace has been elect­ed to rep­re­sent Region 5, includ­ing Illi­nois, Indi­ana, Michi­gan, Min­neso­ta, Ohio, and Wis­con­sin. A total of 10 nation­al­ly-elect­ed vol­un­teer Board Direc­tors are com­mit­ted to diver­si­ty, lead­er­ship, and pro­mot­ing excel­lence in men­tal health and sub­stance use treat­ment. Grace’s elec­tion to this Board posi­tions her to impact the future of of sub­stance use and men­tal health treat­ment across the coun­try. We’re hon­ored to cel­e­brate Grace as she brings a wealth of leg­isla­tive exper­tise and com­pas­sion­ate lead­er­ship expe­ri­ence from KYC’s men­tal health and sub­stance use pro­gram­ming to the nation­al level.
