New CEO Identification Update
Dear KYC Friends and Supporters,
As we settle into July, we wanted to share an update in KYC’s search for our next Chief Executive Officer. Since May, we have been working with the recruiting firm Kittleman and Associates to conduct a nationwide search and selection of our next CEO from the many outstanding candidates that have applied to lead KYC in the coming years. Kittleman’s expertise has been invaluable in attracting top-talent interest and narrowing our focus to the most highly qualified, compassionate, and strategic candidates.
Final round interviews are currently being scheduled for August.
This is a pivotal time for KYC. We’re poised for growth and in a strong position to continue our work in behavioral health and older adult services. We have started a strategic plan process that has identified focused initiatives for the agency to continue KYC’s financial and programmatic growth. In many ways, this initial work created an outline for the specialized expertise and skillset required of our leader for our next steps as an organization. The Board takes its responsibility of reviewing candidates very seriously and is working diligently to finalize this process.
In the meantime, Donna Moriarty, our Interim CEO, and the Leadership Team are hard at work continuing our service to clients. Our annual fiscal year budget for 2019 has been approved, staff members have clear direction around their goals and objectives, and we just wrapped KYC’s most successful fundraiser in our history with this year’s 5K Run/Walk. (Our thanks to everyone who helped us raise over $80,000 for our programs and services!) The Board is especially grateful to Grace Hong Duffin, Chief Operating Officer, and Tish Rudnicki, Chief Program Officer, for their leadership and dedication during this time of transition and throughout their careers at KYC. The KYC workforce is a cohesive team of caring professionals serving our community at the highest level. Working together, we know the best days for KYC are still to come.
We will continue to communicate updates as they are available. Thank you for your support of KYC.
Sincerely,
Wayne Anderson and Paul Kelly
Chair of the Board FY19 and Past Chair of the Board FY17-FY18
