Unity in Community: Celebrating 2024’s Pride Month!
What is Pride?
June is LGBTQIA+ Pride Month, which is a time to commemorate, honor, and recognize the legacy and history of LGBTQIA+ people. Pride Month began after the Stonewall Riots — a series of LGBTQIA+ liberation protests that began in the early hours of June 28th, 1969. Pride is also a time to acknowledge not only the historical perseverance of LGBTQIA+ people but also their cultural impact that continues on today. KYC is proud to celebrate our LGBTQIA+ staff members, clients, and community members, this month and year round!
