Office Closure: On-Site Services Going Remote Beginning December 28th2021

****Update from January 18th2022****

Our on-site group services have resumed. Safety protocols remain in place to continue to assure the safety of all clients, employees, and volunteers.

****Update from January 10th, 2022*****

We are happy to announce that most KYC locations and services will be open for on-site business on 1/10/22. We will continue to monitor and tentatively plan for the re-opening for on-site group services on January 18th, including PSR, SUPR, and the LGBTQ+ Center (as a reminder, offices are closed on the 17th for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day). The Drop-In Center is tentatively scheduled to re-open for on-site services on January 17th (the Drop-In Center will continue serving our communities on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day).

KYC will continue to monitor this situation closely as positivity rates change, however, we feel confident with the protocols we have in place to provide the needed services to our clients in a safe environment. Those protocols include staff vaccination requirements, recommended boosters, masking, social distancing, and hand hygiene.

We will remain vigilant and will continue to assure the safety of all employees, clients, and volunteers.

Original Announcement from December 27th2021:

Due to the increasing rise of the COVID-19 Omicron variant, all KYC office locations will close by the end of the business day on 12/27/21 (including Psychosocial Rehabilitation or PSR groups, the Drop-In Center, and LGBTQ+ Center). However, operations and program areas will work providing care remotely from 12/28/21 — 1/9/22 with some services continuing to be provided in the community. We plan to reopen for on-site business on 1/10/22.

Clients and those served by KYC will receive additional information by email or phone offering ways to remain connected while staying safe at home as we move back to virtual platforms.

Our best defense for mitigating the spread of COVID-19 are the protocols that KYC has in place for employees, interns, volunteers, and clients: vaccinations including the booster, masking, social distancing, and hand hygiene.

KYC Leadership will be reviewing current policy and practice to continue to remain current with CDC recommendations.

We will continue to work together to assure the safety of all employees, clients, and volunteers.

Wishing all a happy and healthy new year.
