Men­tal Health Cri­sis Assess­ment & Inter­ven­tion Training

This work­shop, pre­sent­ed by Ken­neth Young Cen­ter and host­ed by Asso­ci­a­tion of Illi­nois Town­ship Com­mit­tees on Youth, will be held at Elk Grove Town­ship Town Hall. A vir­tu­al option is also available.

The work­shop will cov­er com­mu­ni­ty men­tal health cri­sis response offered through­out the region avail­able to youth and all age groups in need of emer­gency psy­chi­atric services. 

Work­shop objec­tives include:

• Iden­ti­fy­ing signs and symp­toms of a men­tal health crisis
• Gain knowl­edge of appro­pri­ate clin­i­cal emer­gency response sys­tems and eli­gi­bil­i­ty for com­mu­ni­ty response services
• Deter­mine the best course of action and access appro­pri­ate clin­i­cal care.

Reg­is­tra­tion fees, which include lunch, are:

• $25.00 for AIT­COY Members
• $40.00 for Non-Members

2 Con­tin­u­ing Edu­ca­tion hours will be award­ed for Illi­nois Social Work­ers and Pro­fes­sion­al Counselors
