Play Therapy 101: Starting Points
This workshop will provide an understanding of the value of play-based interventions. Presenter Laura Tejada will cover the following objectives:
- Participants will demonstrate a basic understanding of the value of play-based interventions in therapy sessions with children and youth.
- Participants will demonstrate a basic understanding of toy selection for play-based interventions.
- Participants will demonstrate basic competence in core play therapy skills of tracking and reflection of content.
- Participants will state appropriate limits in role-played scenarios of common limit-testing behaviors in play therapy sessions.
3.5 CEU’s are available for LPC, LCPC, LSW, LCSW, LMFT, and CADC.
The cost for non-KYC staff to attend this training is $30. KYC Staff can attend at no cost.
